Lloyd leads Malech Law from the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland office. He sits at the center of the firm’s strategy, shaping how each matter is approached and guiding clients through the decisions that carry the most weight. Clients often first meet Lloyd through the questions that bring them to family law – and through the firm’s Ask Lloyd series, where he shares a practical perspective on the issues families face most often.

Amira is also a certified Collaborative Law attorney and serves as a Best Interest Attorney, representing children in highly contested custody disputes. Amira earned her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and her law degree from Widener University Delaware Law School. She began her legal career as a family law paralegal before becoming an attorney and returning to the area of law she is most passionate about.

Her work includes drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda; preparing matters for hearings and trial; conducting legal research; communicating regularly with clients, chambers, opposing counsel, and legal professionals; and managing document review and production in high-conflict domestic litigation matters. Her background spans private practice and nonprofit legal organizations, serving individual clients and policy-focused initiatives alike. Her professionalism, strong communication skills, and approachable nature allow her to work closely with clients, helping them understand procedural requirements, gather necessary documentation, and remain informed during every stage of litigation.

She earned her Juris Doctor in 2023 and distinguished herself through several leadership roles, competitive advocacy, and extensive public service while in law school. Maggie Riley serves as Chief Operating Officer of Malech Law, overseeing the business operations that support the firm’s attorneys, team, and clients. Working closely with Lloyd Malech, she helps lead the firm’s growth, internal structure, and day-to-day execution.

Her work spans team development, hiring, human resources, vendor oversight, technology, internal systems, and firm administration. She brings together the people and processes behind the legal work, helping ensure the firm operates with consistency, accountability, and a high standard of client service.

Maggie is known for creating clarity in complex environments and building practical structures that support both people and performance. Her leadership allows the legal team to remain focused on strategy, advocacy, and client representation while the business of the firm continues to move forward effectively.

Maggie also serves as an escalation point for clients. If a client is having difficulty receiving a response, has an unresolved administrative concern, or needs additional support navigating the firm’s processes, she is available to help ensure the matter is addressed appropriately.
